Artist Statement
Raw emotions claw their way out on to paper in this series of drawings. Minimalist in execution, the lines aim to isolate the chaos within psyche, unstained of judgement or sermon. The result is a flat, two-dimensional space which directly compels viewers to experience art in its basic physical appearance and fundamental character evoking a personal connection and response. 'Sine Qua Non' serves as a mirror reflecting mundane everyday life from atrocious self-infliction to odyssey of human will to contrive order within oneself and the world. - “The ability to observe without evaluating is the highest form of intelligence.” - J. Krishnamurti
